The active ingredients in Good Life Hair Regrowth Rx are minoxidil 7%, finasteride 0.2%, tretinoin 0.025%, and fluocinolone 0.025%. The inactive ingredients are propylene glycol, citric acid, glycereth-5 lactate, isoamyl laurate, and ethyl alcohol.

Finasteride and minoxidil are two ingredients that individually regrow hair in as little as 3–6 months, combined into one treatment. Tretinoin enhances the absorption of minoxidil. Fluocinolone to assist relieve redness, itching, swelling, or other discomfort caused by skin conditions.

Using Good Life Hair Regrowth Rx as directed:

• Results: You may notice improvements in as little as 3-6 months, although it could take longer to see the full effects.
• Shedding: Some shedding during the initial weeks of treatment is normal. While it might be concerning at first, don’t panic—it usually resolves as new hair grows in (typically within a month).
• Lack of Improvement: If you don’t see progress after 6 months of consistent use, consider discussing adjustments to your treatment plan with your provider.

If you discontinue using Roman Hair Solution Rx, hair growth progress will halt as well.

Yes, it works with any hairstyling routine. You should let the product dry on the scalp completely before applying another product. We do not recommend use of any other products that contain topical finasteride, minoxidil, or tretinoin on your scalp while you are using this solution.

Finasteride and minoxidil work by different mechanisms. Finasteride protects your hair follicles from a hormone called DHT that can make hair follicles shrink and lead to hair loss. Minoxidil, on the other hand, is thought to increase the growth phase of hair follicles.

Because they work in different ways, topical finasteride and topical minoxidil are often combined to attack hair loss more comprehensively. Oral finasteride is also frequently used with topical minoxidil.

Oral finasteride (generic Propecia) is FDA-approved for male pattern hair loss and taken as a 1mg tablet once per day. Meanwhile, topical finasteride is a compounded medication intended for hair loss treatment.

Topical finasteride contains the same active ingredient found in the oral medication, but it’s applied to the scalp using a spray instead of taken as a tablet. Oral finasteride treatment has been shown to stop hair loss in 83% of men with male pattern baldness who took it for two years.

Newer research shows that topical application is also effective; a 2022 randomized controlled trial found 0.25% topical finasteride significantly improved hair counts compared to placebo and its effect on hair density was similar to that of oral finasteride after 24 weeks.

Good Life Hair Regrowth Rx is a compounded treatment tailored to treat hair loss. It contains a higher strength of minoxidil than what is commercially available, and also contains finasteride and tretinoin. This solution is offered by prescription only. Topical minoxidil and oral finasteride are both individually clinically proven to regrow hair. Not all treatments work for all people, however, so if you’re not noticing results within 6 months of consistent use, please reach out to your Good Life-affiliated provider.

Topical finasteride has the same active ingredient as oral finasteride, which can sometimes cause sexual dysfunction and symptoms of depression. You may also experience mild side effects on your scalp—including irritation, itching, a burning sensation, and dryness—especially in the first few weeks of using the medication. Typically, these go away with time.

It’s possible, but rarer, to experience side effects from topical minoxidil, which may include itching and irritation at the application site, signs of an allergic reaction (e.g., rash, hives, or difficulty breathing), facial or body hair growth in areas other than the application site, and changes in hair color or texture.

Finally, you may experience shedding during the first few weeks of treatment. This is normal and, while it might cause some worry at first, it shouldn’t be a reason for you to panic or stop treatment. Extra shedding will resolve as the new hair grows in (usually in about a month).
